There's no obvious log-in for clients only downloads. This is a bit frustrating.

    Hello Jonathan

    Thanks for your enquiry.

Yes: you have a Goalscape Online Unlimited monthly subscription, which allows you to create and share an unlimited number of projects of unlimited size using our cloud solution. If you have not already done so, you can download the Goalscape Online app here: https://connect.goalscape.com. We switched to an app that you install on your local machine due to the demise of Adobe Flash Player at the end of last year (you are on our mailing list, so you should have received the notifications about this change – if you are not receiving our newsletters please check your spam filter).

When the Goalscape Online app starts you will see the sign-in screen (see screenshot) where you can enter your Goalscape username and password to sign in – exactly as you have before. All your projects (and any shared with you by others) are still on our secure server and will appear in your Workspace; or, if Closed, will be accessible via your User Projects List under the Home tab.

As an Unlimited subscriber you can also participate in the closed beta test of our next major update to Goalscape 3.0 – with this change, Goalscape will once again be a web application that you access via the browser. So you can sign in here with your Goalscape credentials: https://beta.goalscape.app (check out Marcus Baur's walkthrough video here: https://youtu.be/c79VEm9rV-A ).

Note that as this Goalscape 3.0 release is beta software, it does not access your existing 'live' Online projects: instead it starts with a new fresh goalscape (and you can create more new ones from the Home screen). It supports all the major functionality of the existing Online app; though not every feature. You can see a list of Known Issues for Goalscape 3.0 Beta here: https://goalscape.tenderapp.com/kb/known-issues/known-issues-goalsc....

If you still have trouble signing in to either the Goalscape Online app or Goalscape 3.0 Beta please first ensure that you are using the correct credentials (you can always reset your password). If that does not help, please send us a screenshot of the entire application window, showing what happens when you try to sign in (in Windows 10 use the Snipping Tool, paste the image into Paint or some other application, Save the image file and post it using the 'Choose file' button below the Reply field here).

    Keep achieving great goals!

    Richard

My question is how I can get this without having to reinstall it?
    Is there a browser version?

    Hello Jonathan

Yes: to use Goalscape Online as you have before, you need to install the Goalscape Online app from here: https://connect.goalscape.com. That app is how you now access all your existing Online projects. This change (to the installed app) was necessitated by the demise of Adobe Flash Player (which is how Online used to run in the browser) in December 2020.

You will be pleased to know that we are moving back to a browser-based application. As an Online Unlimited subscriber you can participate in the closed beta test of our next major update to Goalscape 3.0: it's a web application that you access in your browser. Sign in here with your Goalscape credentials: https://beta.goalscape.app. Note that the Goalscape 3.0 beta software does not access your existing Online projects: it's for you to try; and if you wish you can send us your feedback (and report any bugs you find).

    All the best

Allow me to be clearer, how can I access Goalscape that's already loaded on my computer? It's always sending me to reinstall.

    Hello Jonathan

    Sorry for the misundersranding.

Once you have already installed the Goalscape Online app you should be able to open it from the Windows Start menu, or from the Taskbar (if you have pinned its icon there). If you can't find Goalscape Online in the Start menu, try the following locations:

    • If you selected 'for Everybody' during installation:

      C:/Program Files/Goalscape Software/Goalscape Online

    • If you selected 'Only for me' during installation:

      C:/Users/[User_ID]/AppData/Local/Programs

If you are saying that the Goalscape Online app is offering you an update when you start it, we recommend that you install the latest updates (by clicking Download then Install in the popup). If you really don't want the latest fixes and features, you can select 'later' in the first popup; that will though mean that you always see the Update prompt whenever you start the app.

If the autoupdate is not working for some reason, you can always install the latest version from here: https://connect.goalscape.com.

I confirm that once you have the latest version installed you will no longer see the Updates notifications.

If you are still having trouble starting the app and accessing your Goalscape Online projects, please post again with a screenshot of the entire application window to illustrate the issue (in Windows 10 use the Snipping Tool, paste the image into Paint or some other application, Save the image file and post it using the 'Choose file' button below the Reply field here).

    All the best

    Richard
