How can I open a file / project that was created with the trial version of Goalscape Connect that has now expired? I have purchased the desktop software and now what to open and work with some old projects.

    Hello Steve

Your Goalscape Desktop perpetual license included a free 6-month subscription to Goalscape Connect, which expired in September. So although you can still View your online projects (read-only), you cannot update them.

So we have given you a few days extension to your free Goalscape Connect subscription (it now expires on 30/11). This will allow you to download your online projects as .gsp files that you can open in Goalscape Desktop:

    1. Sign in to Goalscape Connect here
    2. Select the tab of any project that you want to download as a .gsp file
    3. Click the 'down from the cloud' button at top left (see attached screenshot)
    4. A Save screen will open: select the target directory and filename (the default filename is the name of the project Main Goal) and click Save.

You can open the saved goalscapes in Goalscape Desktop using File > Open.

Should you renew your Goalscape Connect subscription in the future, all your online projects will still be open on your workspace. Note though that there is as yet no automatic 'sync' between the two versions of Goalscape, so you will need to (re)upload any projects that you have changed in Goalscape Desktop (to avoid confusion you should also Close the previous versions – you can always access them again via the Home tab).

If you need to know anything else please post again.

    Enjoy the journey!
