Enterprise Functionality

My question is around Corporate accounts and/or "enterprise functionality." Here is the scenario. I am a management consultant, with multiple clients. Some clients are a company of just one person, and others could have hundreds of people, spread across multiple locations. Does the product support this, ideally, I could log-in and manage the goal process for multiple companies (without them being able to see each other's data)? Additionally, is there "roll-up" of goal attainment functionality? So that, a Supervisor can track the attainment of his/her subordinates, and then a manager can track the attainment for all of the supervisors and so on? Thank you in advance.

    Hello Jim

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Goalscape Enterprise is a new product for organizations for which the highest possible data security is an essential requirement. Goalscape Enterprise can be implemented either as a SaaS application or as a Corporate Intranet installation.

Goalscape Enterprise supports the Goalscape 'goal map' UI and functionality and the collaboration features in Goalscape Connect, with maximum data security. It also provides some additional business features like Gantt View and sophisticated admin facilities including per-goal sharing (see notes below regarding your "roll-up" question).

To provide access to people outside your company, you would need to use the Goalscape Enterprise SaaS application. This runs on your Private Cloud on our servers, so you can use your own administration rights to provide access to your clients. In this scenario, you and your clients would need to enforce your own security for the human factor (ie maintaining confidentiality of username and password combinations, etc).

If absolute data security is not a prime concern, you can use the cloud application Goalscape Connect. Goalscape Connect uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for all server communications and is at least as secure as any other single-screen sign in web application (like most email clients and online retailers).

The collaboration features in Goalscape Connect include per-project sharing (with per-user access privilege settings), presence and update indicators, shared attachments and Goal Chat (per-goal instant messaging with email notification options). See the attached PDF summary.

In either Goalscape Connect or Goalscape Enterprise you can create a project for each client and Share each one only with the person or people in the client organization who are concerned with that project.

Many consultants in lots of different fields already use Goalscape Connect in exactly this way – and many of them have sold lots of Goalscape Connect subscriptions into the client organizations. They do this either as an Affiliate or as a Value Added Reseller (VAR). You can join the Goalscape Affiliate Program here; to become a VAR you need to purchase a block of credits (minimum 10) in advance, which you can use to obtain Goalscape Connect subscriptions for your colleagues and clients.

Note though that in Goalscape Connect only those who need to be able to Edit the shared project need a paid subscription. Those who just need to View projects can register for the free trial and simply allow it to lapse: they will still be able to see all their projects (and those shared with them); they will not however be able to update them.

By "roll-up" of goal attainment, I presume you mean updating a 'Master' project from separate sub-projects. Goalscape is inherently hierarchical, so the CEO's Master Business Project should anyway include all the departmental projects, which include managers' projects, which include supervisors' projects.

In Goalscape Enterprise, instead of creating separate projects for each Supervisor, Manager, etc, then combining them (bottom-up), you can create a single Master project for the whole business (top-down), then use per-goal sharing to share different areas of it with different (groups of) people. So in your scenario, the Supervisors (and Managers) would only see and update their own areas; yet each higher-level manager would see everything in their area of responsibility.

We will roll out some of the new business features and admin controls in Goalscape Enterprise as part of a new 'Goalscape Plus' product later this year, as an upgrade for Goalscape Connect. Of course we will continue to support Goalscape Desktop and Goalscape Connect – and we will look after our existing customers, probably by allowing everyone to access the enhanced functionality completely free for a limited period (exactly as we did for all Goalscape Desktop customers when we first launched Goalscape Connect).

You, your colleagues, clients and other contacts can all register for the free trial of Goalscape Connect here (that link is also on the sign-in screen itself). Then you can share your online projects with different (groups of) people and try out the collaboration features.

If you would like a proposal for Goalscape Enterprise please email purchase[at]goalscape[dot]com, confirming your preferred version (SaaS application or Corporate Intranet installation) and the likely number of users – we will respond by direct email.

    Enjoy the journey!

    Richard

    Richard,

Thank you for your response. It appears Goalscape can do what I was looking for.

    Kind Regards.
