Hello Richard,

I can't reply to the Ariel discussion because this is closed to public comments,
but It would be nice to use a Paintbrush Tool to apply formatting purposes (colors e.g.), tags and responsible from a source goal to destination goals.
In addition, it would be nice if we could use a brush tool to apply the formatting styles between different notes.

Best regards,
Tara

    Hello Tara

    Thanks for your suggestion.

The 'Paintbrush' tool functionality is not available, so our proposed solution for applying attributes to multiple goals is to include an 'Apply to subgoals' option for Tag and Responsible – and possibly Goal Markers (it is already available for Goal Color; and applies automatically for Complete/Zero Progress).

As far as Notes formatting is concerned, any text formatting (including color) is preserved when you C&P text from one Notes field to another. You can also select your own default font size in Settings; and we may extend this to text formatting options.

    Cheers!

    Richard

    Ok Richard,

"our proposed solution for applying attributes to multiple goals is to include an 'Apply to subgoals' option for Tag and Responsible"

But what about transferring attributes from a goal to another goal at same level or to subgoals from another goal ?

    Best regards,
    Tara

    Hi Tara

You can do that while building a project by using the 'Copy and Paste Goal' facility. Create a 'template' goal with all the attributes you want and copy it (using the Goal Edit or right-click context menu option), then paste it repeatedly, wherever you want it to appear. You will need to rename the goal after each paste; and of course the Importance will depend on the number of neighbors in its new location (pasted goals are given default importance on the parent).

    Best

    Richard
