Formatting has gone crazy with bullet-points
Hi Guys,
The new version of Goalscape is causing bullet-point formating problems.
I use several tabs for adding notes under each section. Within the 2nd tab that I create under a section (not including the Notes tab), bullet points always show up. See attached file.
The 1st tab and 3rd tab and consecutive tabs are fine. However, the 2nd tab automatically adds bullet points to the formating of every new paragraph and line. The recent update has modified and added bullet-points to all my 2nd tabs throughout the document. Also if I add a 3rd tab the formating is fine. However, if I then delete the 2nd tab, than the 3rd tab (which is now the 2nd tab) is formated with bullet-points.
I hope this can be fixed.
Cheers,
Adam

Hello Adam
Thanks for the notification - sorry that you have been having trouble.
We will be issuing another update very soon (maybe this week) and we will include a fix for this.
In the meantime you may be able to use a workaround: try Select All (Ctrl A or command A) in the affected field, then click the Bullet button at the foot.
If we find a better solution I will post again.
Richard

Hi Richard,
Thanks, I look forward to the update.
Removing the bullet-points as you suggested works temporarily. When you click away to another section then click back to that tab, they come back again.
I hope that the update will remove them without needing to go into each tab and adjust them manually.
I appreciate your quick response times.
Cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam
Thanks for the updated feedback! Sorry that the workaround does not provide a lasting solution.
We will make sure we provide a proper fix with the next update.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Adam
We issued another software update earlier today. Please start Goalscape, install the new version (2.3.1791.704) and check that the unwanted bulleting issue no longer occurs in your user-defined and other text fields.
I am sorry that we could not include any mechanism to differentiate the 'rogue' bullets erroneously applied by the previous version and reinstate the correct unbulleted format. I can however offer to do the required corrections for you if you post your affected goalscapes (.gsp files) here. If they contain confidential information I am happy to sign any non-disclosure agreement you may require.
Once again, apologies for any inconvenience.
Richard

Thanks for the update Richard. It seems to have fixed things.
Not all of my tabs were affected for some reason. However, I'll go into the ones that were affected and make the changes.
I just wanted to throw in here a suggestion for a future version of Goalscape to allow the ability to change the order of tabs (like within an internet browser). It would make things more convenient and flexible when creating tabs.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam
Great, I'm glad the effects were not too widespread.
Yes, we are looking at offering the ability to shuffle the order of tabs (I wanted to do that a few times while I was testing the latest updates!). You could post your idea on the new feedback minisite: we use customers' votes to help decide our development priorities.
We also want to offer an option to propagate additional tabs in all subgoals (like the 'Color goal' option).
Keep an eye out for future updates!
Richard
