Select multiple items

Hi,

I wonder if I am doing something wrong. I can't select multiple items (goals). In your help guide you say that I must press 'shift', which is an obvious way of doing it. However, it is as if the feature is not enabled in my Goalscape. How can I enable it? Am I doing something wrong?

Best,

Andres

    Hello Andres

    Thanks for your inquiry.

No, you are not doing anything wrong. In Goalscape it is not possible to select multiple goals, since the panel on the right of the screen can only display attribute information (and allow you to change this information) for one goal at a time.

So any instruction in our online Help or Infopoint videos to use 'shift' certainly does not refer to goal selection. Please could you confirm where in our help guide you found this instruction so that we can address any ambiguity.

    All the best

    Richard

    Thanks Richard,

I can’t find exactly where I saw this.

My objective is to copy/paste a set of sub-objectives. What I want to do is to make 5 sub-objectives (which all contribute into a parent objective) into a routine which I can copy paste as sub-objectives for other parent objectives (so that I don’t have to add all 5 objectives individually for each case). Would this be possible?

    Best,

    Andres

    Hi Andres

The easiest way to do that would be to use the parent goal of the 5 subgoals that comprise the process as a 'template':

    1. Copy the template parent goal (screenshot 1)

    2. Select the main goal (or higher level goal where you want the copied goal to appear) and Paste the template (screenshot 2)

    3. Copy & paste the details of the next parent (goal name, Notes, Importance, Dates, Responsibility, Tag, etc) into the copied parent

    4. Delete the redundant parent (the old one with no subgoals)

    5. Repeat as necessary

    Enjoy the journey!

    Richard
