certificate problem to update Goalscape on a Mac.
WHEN I BOUGHT GOLDSCAPE, I PAID $90.00 USD FOR WHAT I BELIEVED WAS A ONE-TIME PURCHASE. I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO USE IT BECAUSE IT IS VERY HARD TO UPGRADE. I DECIDED TO TRY IT AGAIN WHEN ADOBE AIR UPGRADED ITSELF TODAY. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO UPGRADE, I WAS BROGHT TO THE SITE AND FOUND THAT I COULD NOT SIGN IN USING MY EMAIL AND PASSWORD. INSTEAD, I AM APPARENTLY EXPECTED TO REPURCHASE THE PRODUCT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO USE IT OR TO UPGRADE IT, IF THAT IS NOW MORE POSSIBLE.
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE STATUS OF MY PURCHASE IS. CAN I UPGRADE WITHOUT BUYING AN ENTIRELY NEW COPY OF GOALSCAPE? IS IT NOW POSSIBLE TO UPDATE OR ARE WE STILL STUCK IN " IT IS TOO INCONVENIENT OR TOO HARD FOR US TO UPGRADE AND IMPROVE GOALSCAPE LIKE OTHER PROGRAMS DO."
IN THE EVENT THAT THE LATTER IS TRUE, IS THERE A WAY THAT I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK OR ANY PART OF MY MONEY?

I confirm that your Goalscape Desktop perpetual single user license does indeed allow you to use the software for ever for your one-time payment. We are keeping the promise made to our existing customers, so you will still receive full support and free upgrades for life.
It appears that you may be trying to activate an older version. If so, all you need to do is to download the latest version from our website here and activate it with your username and password. I confirm that you have spare permissions available to activate the software. if you have lost your password you can reset it here – that link is also on the Welcome screen in the new version.
Although it should not be necessary, if you have had installation issues on that machine in the past you may wish to uninstall the previous version of Goalscape Desktop first – just drag its icon from Applications to Trash.
Previous download and installation problems were nearly always due to an issue with the local Adobe AIR environment, which were all resolved by installing the latest version of AIR (see Known Issues). We have not heard of any similar issues with the new version – although it is always worth keeping your AIR up to date.
We are also working on a Captive Runtime version that will make Goalscape Desktop independent of the local AIR environment – and as a perpetual license-holder you will of course be able to update to that version when we release it.
All the best
