Upgrade certificate error
Hi Guys
I have not used Goalscape for some time and when I restarted it, it required an update. The update has not registered as a result of a certificate error can you take a look at the attached. Any ideas how or if this can be fixed
Best
Gordon

Hello Gordon
Good to hear from you again – sorry you have had trouble; thanks for sending that screenshot.
I am glad to say that there is nothing wrong with the GoalscapeDesktop.air installer file: that message referring to a 'certificate error' is misleading – it actually indicates that there is a problem with the Adobe AIR environment on your machine.
The solution is to do the 'uninstall and reinstall Goalscape Desktop and Adobe AIR' fix: full step-by-step instructions are on our Known Issues page. Note that to uninstall AIR on a Mac you need to use the special 'Adobe AIR Uninstaller' app (this should be in Applications > Utilities).
If that does not work for you, the most likely reason (since you are updating from a very old version of Desktop) is that the existing Registry information on your hard drive is interfering with the new installation. In that case you will also need to clear your Registry by following the instructions on our Knowledge Base.
Should you need to re-Activate your installation, you can do so by entering your username and password at the Welcome screen. If you have lost your password you can reset it here.
Keep achieving great goals!
Richard

Hi Gordon
No worries – glad to help!
You will be pleased to know that we are working on a captive runtime version of Goalscape Desktop that will make it completely independent of the local AIR environment. This will be provided as a free upgrade for all Desktop customers.
Cheers!
Richard
