Polish characters
Hello,
I'd like to ask if there is possibility to write goals texts using polish characters?
Standard we write it using combination of Alt+"one letter" where "one letter" could be: "A", "E", "C","N", "O", "L".
When I try to use them it the goal text edition is cloasing.

Hello Marcin
Thanks for your inquiry.
You need to select the Polish locale: click the 'cog' button at top right to open the Settings window and select the Polish flag.
Goalscape supports Polish characters in the goal attributes entered in the panel Goal Names, Notes and Comments field. Note that there is though a Known Issue with Polish characters in some exported reports.
We will be addressing the issues with Polish character support after we have delivered Goalscape 3.0 later this year.
Keep achieving great goals in 2020!
Richard

The Polish flag is selected, but it doesn't solve the issue.
When I write the goal title and try to use Alt+letter it exits from editting.
In notes there is no problem.
When I copy polish letter and paste it to goal title, there is correct.
I am using Desktop version 2.9.8

Hello Marcin
Sorry you are having trouble.
We cannot reproduce this issue in any of our tests and we have not heard from anyone else experiencing it. I have invited our Polish agent Marcin Kwiecinski to this discussion, in case he can help.
Please could you confirm whether you are trying to type these characters into the name field at the top of the Panel or directly into the name field in the goal slice in the goal map (click a goal twice to activate the name field). And if you have only tried one of these options, please try the other.
The fact that you are able to paste Polish characters into the Goal Name field – and make them appear using the 'Alt' modifier key – confirms that Goalscape Desktop does indeed support Polish characters in that field. So in case this is an OS or settings issue, please check your Windows keyboard settings (you could also try using a different keyboard to see if that works).
Since this is about Goalscape Desktop, please ensure that you have the latest Adobe AIR (ver 32) installed on your machine.
As you know, your Desktop licence also includes an Unlimited subscription to the web application Goalscape Online. So, as a test, please sign in to Online also sign in to Online with your Goalscape credentials and try entering Polish characters as goal names there. Your answers here will be very useful in our investigations.
All the best
Richard

Thanks for quick answer. I try to answer to your question...
1. Adobe AIR is up to date.
2. In Desktop version:
a) double click into the goals in the main circle - is okay!
b) editing in the field which is in top right corner:
- Alt+"a/z/c" - is not okay, but the editing mode in this field doesn't closes
- Alt+"s/e/n/o/l" - is not okay and the editing mode in this field closes
3. In Online version:
a) double click into the goals in the main circle - is okay!
b) editing in the field which is in top right corner:
- Alt+"a/z/c" - is okay!
- Alt+"s/e/n/o/l" - is not okay and the editing mode in this field closes

Hi!
Marcin, could you write what Windows version do you use and what keyboard language do have installed on it?
And could you check again Online version but in Chrome browser.
I noticed that Online version in Chrome browser works fine on my computer.
BR,
Marcin

Windows 10 Pro (10.0.18362) - installed keyboard Polish.
Yes, in Chrome I can write polish characters correctly.
But, as far as I quickly see, in my Chrome is another issue.
Sometimes (while changes are saving) last character(s) disappear for a moment and appears - but then cursor moves before the character(s) which disappears and appears.

Hi Marcin
That issue (with characters disappearing and appearing again) seems like a display problem – again, possibly related to your keyboard (or keyboard settings). Please check your settings or try using a different keyboard.
Please also confirm whether it affects the goal name field in the Panel header or in the goal slice in the goal map.
Best
Richard
