Hello Mark
Goalscape Online does indeed require the latest Adobe Flash Player (version 32); and Chrome uses its own Flash plug-in, so it should always keep itself up to date.
If the 'lock' you are referring to prevents you from downloading the latest Flash (or prevents Chrome from using its Flash plug-in correctly) you will need to find a way to unlock it in order to complete the Flash update; your IT support should be able to help.
You can check your Chrome Flash settings and update them as follows:
In Chrome, click the vertical ellipsis at top right ('Customise and control Google Chrome') and select Settings.
In the Settings screen, select 'Privacy and security' in the left sidebar, then click 'Site settings'.
Under 'Permissions', click 'Flash'. If the default 'Block sites from running Flash' is selected, change it to 'Ask first'.
If the 'Allow' list shows 'https://connect.goalscape.com', click the right-arrow; then in the 'Permissions' list change 'Ask' to 'Allow'.
Then try starting Goalscape Online again. NB the first time you go to that page in each session you will still need to click the 'Flash' button and select 'Allow'.
You will be pleased to know that we are moving away from dependence on Flash and the browser: Goalscape 3.0 will be a fully functional cross-platform web app, using html5 and Javascript, along with technologies like Web Components. Watch out for announcements...
All the best
Richard
