When I ask Goalscape to download an either PNG or PDF no file is downloaded to my machine (MacBook Pro - running Catalina). Same problem occurs in both Safari and Firefox so I'm assuming a downloads permission issue.

    Hello Adrian

    Sorry you have had trouble.

We cannot reproduce this issue in any tests here and we have not heard from anyone else having a similar problem.

When you use any of the Download As options (direct download) you should first see a popup notification that the download is complete and offers the Save (see first screenshot). When you click 'Yes', you should see a Save window where you can choose the location and filename to use (the default filename is the project name). Downloaded files will open in their native applications.

If that is not working properly for you, please provide details of what you see after making your selections (screenshots are always useful) – and confirm whether the same issue affects all the download options (including 'Download .GSP').

Please also let us know if it affects downloads via the Report Options screen (Download As > Report Options – see second screenshot). In the Report Options screen you can pre-edit your reports and, for image, PDF and DOCX exports, see a preview (click the 'Generate full preview' button after making any changes – see third screenshot of selections for a PDF Report). Again when you click the 'Export' button in Report Options, you should be offered a Save window.

In case this is due to some issue with the project itself, you can Share it with us (as [email blocked]) and we will test the Downloads. If it contains confidential information we can sign any NDA you may require.

All the best – and stay safe

    Richard
