Naming goals

Software wont allow me to name or rename goals - it work once on a blue moon then function freezes - I can select gaol highlight name text but not enter anything or change it - all other functions seem to work: colour goal, progress bar etc

   Hello Steve

   Welcome aboard! Sorry you have had trouble.

   Goalscape Online is working fine in all our tests and we have not heard from anyone else having any problems.

   Nearly all issues in Online can be resolved simply by refreshing the page. In case the issue is due to a browser 'hiccup', sign out of Online, clear your cache, restart your browser and sign in again.

   Please also ensure you have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer and Allowed/Enabled in the browser.

   If problems persist, please post again with the following details:

   • Make and model of your computer

   • Operating System and version (eg 'Windows 10')

   • Browser and version (we recommend using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers: both work well on Windows and Mac machines – and Chrome uses its own Flash plugin, so it is always up to date)

   • Installed version of Adobe Flash Player (you can see this if you mouseover the 'Goalscape' logo at top left of the Online screen).

   I use Firefox, have reloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player and re-started my browser (details below)

   I can only intermittently get to rename goals but never have the right-click drop-down ‘rename goal’ available or able to this by highlighting and clicking on the current goal text itself.

   HP Notebook PC Intel Core i5 2.5GHz 8GB RAM 64-bit
   Firefox browser
   Adobe Flash player 2.9.10 (build 4301.665) [FP WIN 32.0.0.433 Plugin]

   Hello Steve

   You can rename goals either by selecting text in the panel header for the selected goal, or by selecting the name text of the goal in the goal map (click the text in the goal slice twice, slower than a double-click). See the first 2 screenshots attached.

   I confirm that these methods are working fine in all our tests (in all browsers on both Windows and Mac computers) and we have not heard from anyone else having any trouble renaming goals.

   Please note that there is no 'rename goal' option in the right-click context menu (see the third screenshot).

   In case your renaming issue is due to an anomaly in your Firefox browser, please try Google Chrome: that uses its own Flash plugin – though you will still need to click the Flash icon and select 'Allow' when you go to Online (see fourth screenshot).

   Please let us know if Online works OK for you in Chrome: that will be very useful in identifying the issue you are encountering in Firefox.
