Typing 'd' brings up dictation on Mac
The correct work around is to go to System Preferences --> Keyboard --> Short Cuts --> App Shortcuts and press plus to add a new shortcut. Choose All Applications and name the Menu Item exactly as Start Dictation...
Then assign it a key combination.
That fixed it on my system.
