Hi! Using client 3.2.8 on Chrome browser, the 4 images I pasted in the notes section turned into blank icons. After initial pasting them, the images were visible. I hibernated the system after a couple of hours, then logged in to my second computer and brought up my project also with the same client version and Chrome -- on this 2nd system the images did not appear at all. I went back to my first system and resumed it then re-opened the project. All I got were blank image icons. See attached screenshot. I don't see how to get them back. They don't seem to have been uploaded to the cloud.

    Hello Ariel

Good to hear from you again – sorry for the confusion.

You can indeed add images (and even videos) to your Notes; you cannot yet however do so by simply pasting them – you need to use the 'Insert image' feature using the URL for an uploaded image.

To do this, click the Image icon at the foot of the Notes field, then insert the image URL in the popup (see the attached screenshot).

If the image you want to use is one of your own (and not yet published anywhere on the web), you will first need to upload it to some filesharing facility (like Google Photos). Do NOT use the 'Share URL' function in the filesharing facility: instead right-click the uploaded image itself, select 'Copy Link Address', then paste that address in the image URL field.

Once you have inserted images like this they will be permanently embedded in the Notes – and you can always check for their presence by refreshing the browser page. You can also select the embedded image and resize, replace or delete it.

We are working on supporting the facility to paste images direct from the clipboard (as you attempted to do.

We are also working on a facility to Attach files in other formats: in the meantime, you can upload your files to a filesharing site like Google Drive, share them with the relevant goalscape collaborators, then use a hyperlink to the document in the Notes for that goal.

For more details about pending features (and using the existing ones) see the Current and Future Features page.

    Keep achieving great goals!

Thank you Richard! I will use these steps instead of pasting.

    Best regards

    Hello Ariel

In case you missed our recent announcements, we have implemented 'drop-in' attachments for files in any format. For details see this blogpost.

    Keep achieving great goals!
