Goalscape Connect: centering goals
Hey,
as for now goalscape connect works well. I was able to center certain goals by right-clicking and choosing "center", but unfortunately not directly by double-clicking as in the desktop version. Probably this is already a known issue and will become implemented in the following versions, but for usability it would be great to include this feature.
I am using a Mac with FF 3.6.
Best regards,
Marc

Hi Marc
That's odd - I too am using Mac with Firefox 3.6 and using double-click to Focus view works fine on my machine!
I have however noticed that sometimes my interactions with applications in Firefox slow down when I have left my computer on for long periods of time without rebooting. To test this again, please could you restart, open Firefox and log in to Goalscape Connect again, then try the double-click. If it still does not work, one of our technicians will contact you and maybe arrange a screenshare so we can see exactly what is going on.
Richard
(NB As mentioned in the launch announcement, other hotkey shortcuts are not yet implemented – although all the existing functionality is available through the right-click context menu and/or the on-screen icons)

edit: Sometimes while trying this I get a timeout from the server or I get into the editing window for the goal name, which I tried to center.

OK, thanks Marc - we'll investigate.
NB the pop-up window for editing goal names will appear if you do two separate clicks (rather than a double-click).

Since you are accidentally two-clicking when you want to double-click, you could try adjusting your double-click rate:
1. Click the Apple logo top left
2. Click System Preferences
3. Select 'Trackpad' in the Hardware options and adjust the Double-Click Speed slider at the top of the window.
