Are there limits on the number of goals each section can handle? Or are there limits on the number of people?

    Hello Lee

    Thanks for your post.

There is no limit to the number of goals, levels or persons you can have in any Goalscape model ("goalscape").

In Goalscape Connect you are unlikely to reach your 5GB personal storage limit unless you are attaching very large files (eg videos) to your goalscapes.

In Goalscape Desktop you may start to hit performance issues if you create a very large (thousands of goals); furthermore we believe that any project that requires more than 10 levels might benefit from more rigorous analysis.

If there is anything else you need to know please post again.

    May you achieve great goals!

    Richard

    Richard,

Thanks for the info. We're very impressed with your software. I believe it is critical for a team to visualize how different goals roll up to successful direction - but managing it has always been hard. We have an advertising agency in New York, Austin and San Francisco and try to link our major corporate goals down to goals for each individual (about 200 people). On feature you might think about is a people database rather than enter people with each goal, you could just go in and click the appropriate team to assign the goal. In the future it would make printing out individual and team goals much easier as well.

If we can help in any way, please let me know.

    Hi Lee

Thanks very much for your positive feedback!

We are currently working on an advanced tag and filter function that will enable you to do just that: you will be able to 'tag' goals with certain attributes so they are associated in a group; you can then apply filters to show only the goals for that group (or groups). We may also extend the Responsible field to accommodate teams (probably by selection from the 'Person' list).

Other coming enhancements include an upgrade of the reporting function, which will enable you to produce a printout of (say) 'all goals for Team B with an end date before October 1'.

    Enjoy the journey!

    Richard

Richard, if you need beta testers I'd be glad to help. We'll be purchasing this week.

Great - your strategy of using top-level corporate goals to drive regional, team and personal goals is exactly the sort of application that Goalscape was designed for.

I look forward to hearing how you are using it to communicate your goals and agree detailed plans to achieve them.

    Enjoy the journey!

    Richard
