Embedded files/docs in goalscape
I recently created a series of goals from a Strategic session we held in our team. The idea was to capture the inputs and outputs during the session and then I wanted to export and share with the team. Is there a way to share and keep the files attached in goalscape? I see the files links broke if I move the location of Goalscape. appreciate any ideas.

Hello Erick
Good to hear from you again!
Yes: because Goalscape Desktop is standalone single-user software, attachments are implemented as links to the file's location on the hard drive of the local machine.
To work with your team on shared projects as you describe, you really need to use our web application Goalscape Online: the major functionality is the same as that of Goalscape Desktop and it has some cool collaboration features.
You and I previously Goalscape Online (then called Goalscape Connect) back in 2012. Since then we have continued to enhance its functionality and it now supports shared attachments (in any file format), presence and update indicators, per-project access level settings and Goal Comment (per-goal Instant Messaging with email notification options). In Goalscape Online, attachment files are uploaded to the project, so they are available to all collaborators on any computer. There are more details in the attached pdf.
Your Goalscape Desktop licence included a free subscription to the Online application, which reverted to Free user on expiry. As a long-time customer we have given you a temporary upgrade to Unlimited: this means that you can sign in with your Goalscape credentials, upload your Desktop projects (.gsp files) using the 'up into the cloud' button (see screenshot) and share them with others by email address (click the 'Share' button at the foot of the screen).
Note that as an Unlimited user you can give Free users Edit access to your large shared projects (1 per Free user). So you may be able to run all your projects for the price of a single Goalscape Online Unlimited subscription ($6 per month or $66 per year)!
We also do a scale of discounts for multiple sales of Goalscape Online Unlimited 12-month subscriptions, starting at 10% for 5 users. If you would like a full proposal please post again with the likely number of users and we will email you direct.
If you do not want to use Goalscape Online you can indeed share your Desktop projects (.gsp files) with others. Note though that each user will need a Goalscape Desktop license in order to make any changes; and when they do this you will need to do your own version control. Instead of using the goal attachment facility in Goalscape Desktop you can upload any attachments to a third party filesharing facility like Google Drive or Dropbox, then in your Goalscape Desktop projects you can simply include a hyperlink in the Notes for the relevant goal that point to the online document.
When your free Goalscape Online Unlimited subscription expires next month, your Online account will revert to Free user: all your projects will become View only – for you and any collaborators with whom you may have shared it. If you wish to extend it, or purchase multiple subscriptions, please post again.
Keep achieving great goals!
Richard
