Copy and paste in desk top trial? And import from Excel.
I cannot past in trial version of desktop. is that intentional? Also, I really want to import from a large Excel file. Is this possible? Can I copy and paste from Excel?

Hello Adam
Thanks for your inquiry.
The trial version of Goalscape Desktop is exactly the same as the paid version: buying a license allows you to Activate the software permanently on 1 machine at a time.
If you are trying to copy & paste text from Excel into the Notes field all you need to do is to copy the text, then click in the Notes field of any goal and use the right-click option or the hotkey shortcut Ctrl + V. You can also paste text into the goal name field, either in the panel header or in the goal map itself (click twice on a goal's name in the goal map to select all the text, then use the right-click option or shortcut).
You can also C&P goals (and their subgoals) – including the main goal (to copy an entire project): select a goal and use the Goal Edit menu or right-click options. When you paste a goal, it (and its entire subgoal structure) will appear as a subgoal of the goal you have selected in the target project.
If the above is not working for you please post again with more detail about what you are trying to paste and where; and what happens when you try to paste. Screenshots would be useful.
Please also confirm the versions of Goalscape Desktop and Adobe AIR that you have installed (you can see both if you mouseover the 'Goalscape' logo at top left). You can download the latest version of Adobe AIR here.
We are also investigating a general import mechanism, probably using a .csv source.
Enjoy the journey!
Richard
