Is importance is the only item we can follow per tasks?
Hello,
I'm a project manager (From France). I need to follow the following item per tasks:
Budget, Cost, Days .
I've the feeling that there is only one item we can follow per tasks. It is the "importance" (And also progression) en %
Is it possible to have other item to follow per tasks? Or rename "importance" and remplace % of importance by number of days, or $, etc...
Other question: Is it possible to import excel file?
Thank's

Hello David
Thanks for your inquiry.
You will be pleased to know that we are already working on support for absolute values (rather than percentages) for both Importance and Progress. This will allow users to input budget or allocate time periods – either top-down (dividing the amounts allocated to the parent among its subgoals) or bottom-up (aggregating upwards the amounts input at lower levels). As an additional 'business feature', such functionality will initially be delivered only in our corporate product Goalscape Enterprise, probably in Q3 this year.
Goalscape Enterprise already supports extra functionality like Gantt View, Change Tracker and Per-Goal Sharing (see the attached pdf). If you and your colleagues would like to try Goalscape Enterprise, please could you all register for Goalscape Free (or you can register and create new Free accounts for your colleagues simply by sharing a project with them). Then post here with a list of names and email addresses: we will set you all up with access to the demo software. If you also indicate the likely total number of users we will send you a price proposal.
We are also investigating the possibility of implementing a general input mechanism (probably using .csv files, with the same column headings as the current .csv export). This is not trivial, since it will involve an initial 'parsing' process to sort the incoming data into the correct format and enforce the correct column headers and cell content (and format, eg for dates).
Please remember too that Goalscape is a visual goal management solution rather than a full Project Management tool. It provides a visual overview of any challenge, with an intuitive UI that clearly displays priorities and progress, together with Comments (per-goal IM with email notification options) that support your existing workflow with fast, systematic communications about achievements and issues.
Enjoy the journey!
Richard

Hello Dave
Quick follow-up on the last question in your post here: as you may have noticed, we have now delivered the 'Import CSV' feature you requested.
For more information (and a How-To video) see our blog article. The full requirements for the CSV source file are in our Knowledge Base.
Keep achieving great goals!
Richard
