Sharing with Goalscape Online Unlimited

Hi - am a new subscriber with a question - is it possible to share part of a project with someone using the Online Unlimited service and have the rest of the project remain invisible to them? Or, do I have to create a separate project?

Also, is there any way to link projects within my Online Unlimited service so that I can see any updates and progress made in one project within another parent or sister project?

Thanks very much!

    Hi Leslie

Welcome aboard! Thanks for your inquiry – sorry for the delay in responding.

Project sharing in Goalscape Online is on a per project basis: when you share a project with someone (with View, Edit or, for other Unlimited users, Admin privileges), that sharing applies to the entire project.

So if you want to share only certain parts of (say) a Company Goals project with different (groups of) collaborators, you will need to create a different sub-project for each group. For the overview (and to see the overall progress in the main goal) you can Copy and Paste these projects as Level 1 subgoals in your Company Goals master project (note though that this will only be a 'snapshot' of that project at the time you do the C&P: all future updates should be made in the separate shared sub-projects).

Our corporate product Goalscape Enterprise supports some additional business features, including per goal sharing: project Admins can restrict collaborators' access to a selected goal (and its subgoals) to View-only or no access. We are also working on 'deep-linking' projects, whereby updates to a sub-project will update the parent goal in the overall master project.

I have attached a pdf summary that contains more details about Goalscape Enterprise. If you would like a price proposal please indicate the likely total number of users and we will send you a full quotation.

    All the best
