I have tried using a link to dropbox, but it does not seem possible to click on the link either in the browser version or the mobile version. I presume that files cannot be accessed from the mobile version if they are attached?

Sorry you have had trouble.
Hyperlinks to files in Dropbox (and other filesharing facilities)
You can create '1-click' links in Goal Comments: just enter a URL in a Comment and it will open with a single click.
For links in the Notes area, you need to create the link by selecting a block of text and clicking the 'link' button in the Notes formatting menu, then entering the URL and pressing Enter. To use a Notes hyperlink you need to click it, click 'Change', then 'Test this link'. Sorry about the extra clicks required – this is due to limitations in the Adobe rich text format used for the Notes field (we will be replacing this in Goalscape 3.0).
You can also upload files as Attachments: click the 'paper-clip' tab, then the 'Attach files' button, select the file(s) you want to attach from their locations on your hard drive and click Open.
All the best

I just tried those linking options and they worked fine on the browser version, but still can’t click on them in the mobile version.
Other question was whether shared files via the paper clip are accessible on the mobile version at all?

First of all, sorry for the delay in responding – for some reason your latest message here went into our spam filter (you can prevent this happening in future by creating a Profile in this forum; once you login you will remain logged in and your messages will never be misidentified as spam).
If you have created hyperlinks in Notes (or entered URLs in Comments) they certainly should work when you access them using Goalscape Mobile – for links in Notes though you may still need to click Change and Test this link (as in the main Online application).
Goal Attachments uploaded in Online are not available via the Goalscape Mobile app.
All the best
