Goalscape Desktop
Hi there,
Based on the below response to the question on Flash with Goalscape 3.0, would the desktop version be discontinued or are the plans on the roadmap for it?
"we are indeed moving away from dependence on Flash and the browser. We are working flat out to develop Goalscape 3.0, using html5, Javascript and using the latest web technologies."

Hello Steve
Good to hear from you again!
We will continue to support our existing Goalscape Desktop license holders with a captive runtime version of the software that will remove its dependence on the local Adobe AIR environment.
All the best – and stay safe
Richard

Hello Richard,
to follow up steve's question.
Will Goalscape Desktop release 3.0 incorporate the same functionalities as Goalscape 3.0 and will it be released at the same time?
By the way, what's the release date ?
Best regards,
Tara

Hello Tara
The new captive runtime version of Desktop will maintain all the existing Desktop functionality.
The major functionality of Goalscape 3.0 will of course be in its project sharing facilities (as for Goalscape Online), which will not be part of any Desktop release. Desktop will remain a standalone application, with separate downloads for Windows and Mac computers. We do not intend to convert Desktop to a fully cross-platform app; we will though offer our Desktop licensees the opportunity to switch to Online.
Best
Richard
