Is there a function on this program that allows a group of people to see the same screen at the same time that updates in real time as changes are made?

    Hi Beth

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Yes! In Goalscape Online you can Share your project privately with an unlimited number of others: then you can all access the Goalscape project at the same time. You can even give Free users Edit access to the project. All changes made (by any contributor) will appear on everyone else's screens in real time; and changes made by others in one's absence will be identified by bold goal names in the goal map (like unread emails in your Inbox).

So in meetings (including with those in remote locations or WFH) you can all use the Goalscape project to discuss goals, actions and issues – you can of course screenshare (with one person making all the updates to the project); you do not have to do that though (save bandwidth and save the planet!). Goalscape Software is a widely distributed company and this is exactly how we use Goalscape for all our company meetings.

To Share your Goalscape Online project:

    1. Click the 'Share' button at the foot of the screen
    2. In the popup Share screen, enter your contact's email address – since this is used to create a new Free user account please do this carefully (with no typos or leading or trailing spaces)
    3. Select the new collaborator's project access level: you can give Free users Edit or View access; and if your contact is a Goalscape Online Unlimited subscriber you can also give them Admin rights (to 'on-share' your project to others)
    4. You can also add a brief message for your project invitee (optional)
    5. Click 'Add+'.

New users will receive an email with the links and information they need to join the project (and any message you wrote when you added them). When they sign in to Goalscape Online via the app, the shared project will appear in their workspace (they can also create 1 personal project of their own, 30 goals maximum). Existing users signed in to Online will see a notification about the newly-shared project (including any personal message you wrote) and it will be selected.

While you are all working on a shared project you can also use the Goal Comment feature to carry out Instant Messaging conversations on specific goals, with all contributors' comments and replies appearing in real time. You can also select which project collaborators are to receive email notifications about comments: emails are sent with a 15-minute delay, to accommodate edits and to include all recent comments in a single email (to avoid cluttering your Inbox). The Comment history on each goal (with comments identified by username and timestamped) represents the complete record of your discussions on that goal.

Top tip: Use Comments to record goal completion and achievements of major milestones (as well as issues): it's a great way to 'celebrate the wins together' and give everyone some good news in their Inbox!

So Goalscape Online is the ideal way to collaborate with purpose. There are more details in the attached pdfs.

As an Online Free user you can create 1 project (30 goals maximum) and share it with anyone you like. With an Online Unlimited subscription you can create an unlimited number of projects of unlimited size and share them with with an unlimited number of (groups of) others. Many companies, consultants and coaches use Goalscape like this – for some relevant testimonials scroll down on our homepage and Business page.

If there is anything else you need to know please post again.

May you achieve great goals in '21!

    Richard
