Copy Goal Fragments
My initial goal map has become rather large. Is there a way to break off sections and copy them into a new separate map?

Hello Justin
Thanks for your inquiry.
Yes! In fact this is the one thing that is easier to do in Goalscape Desktop than in Goalscape Online.
In Goalscape Desktop, just select the highest-level subgoal you want to copy (ie the one that will be the Main Goal in the sub-project) and click Project > Save Selected Subgoal As. Save that on your hard drive (the default filename is the name of the selected goal), then open it in Desktop.
For a project in Goalscape Online you can Download the'master' project, then follow the above process to Save the subproject area as a .gsp file; then you can Upload that file to Online, where it will become a project in its own right. There is a way to create the new subproject within Online by copying and pasting the selected subgoal area to a new project; it is more long-winded though.
We are investigating ways to link projects in Online such that updates to the sub-project update the relevant area of the main project. Until then you will need to put a Note (or Comment) in the relevant goal of the main project that refers to the sub-project (and in the main goal of the sub-project that refers to the main project).
Keep achieving great goals, stay safe – and have a marvellous '21!
