Combine goalscapes?

We have created a couple of goalscapes (one for each team)... but have now decided a 'master view' would be advantageous. Is there a way to combine or merge separate wheels into a unified view?

    Hi Mark

Yes: you can C&P goals (and all their subgoals) across goalscapes. So to create a 'master view':

    1. Create a new goalscape as your 'Master' (and give it a meaningful name).
    2. From the Home screen, open a goalscape you want to copy, right-click its Main Goal (the central goal in the overall view of the entire goalscape) and select 'Copy Goal'.
    3. From the Home screen, open your new Master goalscape, right-click its Main Goal and select 'Paste As Subgoal'
    4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any other goalscapes you want to copy into the Master.
    5. Delete the default Subgoals 1, 2 and 3 and Share the master with everyone involved.

Please note that there is no sync between the Master goalscape and the original goalscapes you copied into it (updates in the Master will not be reflected in the originals). So to avoid versioning issues you can either:

    a) Carry on using just the Master, sharing it with all the collaborators on all the original sub-goalscapes. If you do this, to avoid confusion you should also Delete the sub-goalscapes – you can also Download them as .gsp files to archive them (then if you ever need them again you can re-upload them).

    Or

    b) If you want to maintain the 'segregation' between the sub-goalscapes – ie share them with different (groups of) people – you can continue to use and update the sub-goalscapes (shared appropriately). Then whenever you want to see the overview (eg for weekly review meetings) you will need to repeat the above C&P process above to update the master with all the latest changes. Note that if you choose to do this, you can easily link the Master to the sub-goalscapes (and vice versa) using hyperlinks in the Notes fields.

Medium term we will build a facility to 'deep link' goalscapes such that changes to a sub-goalscape are automatically reflected in a Master where it is referenced.

    All the best

    Richard

    Excellent response, that clarifies everything.

A 'deep link' would be great, but knowing I can compile a master list
quickly for review purposes is helpful (we can't remove each person from
their goalscape if we adopt this a bit further, so would utilize Option
    B) you outlined below).
