Recurring tasks
Hello,
I like to use the Goalscape for task management. That way, I can see the multiple categories, their task status at a glance. Everything looks fine but I wonder how to make a task (or say a goal) to be recurring?
Please advise,
thanks
Syam

Hello Syam
Thanks for your enquiry.
Although Goalscape is really for visual goal management, you can indeed use it for task management as well. We do this using the tag feature: using 'Now' and 'Next' tags – see the Best Practice tips in this Intro video (starting at 35 seconds in).
We are intending to support for recurring tasks and 'synergistic goals' (those that contribute to multiple higher-level goals) by creating them as different instances of the same goal under different parents (with updates made to any instance being reflected in all the others).
In the meantime you can create such goals as Level 1 subgoals (next to the main goal) and show their association with all the goals to which they contribute by adding a Tag to each of those goals. And in the web app, every goal has its own URL, so you can also use hyperlinks in the Notes fields of such goals to link them to each other.
For daily and other recurring tasks (especially those that are binary – either done or not done), you can record your Progress as the % of days you completed the task in any period, then reset it to 0 at the end of each such period.
Keep achieving great goals – and stay safe!
Richard
