Flash
Hi There - do you plan to release an update that doesn't require Flash? We can't install Flash on our machines and Edge browsers don't support.
Thanks

Hello Jeff
Welcome aboard!
Yes: we are indeed working on a new version of Goalscape Online that will make it independent of Flash and the browser. We expect to have a beta version available very soon – watch out for announcements...
In the meantime you may be able to access Goalscape Online if you use the Google Chrome browser – it uses its own Flash plugin, so the download is not required.
With your license for the separate Goalscape Desktop standalone software: once you have Online working, you can upload any projects (.gsp files) that you create in Desktop, then continue to work on them (and share them with others) in Online. There is though no 'sync' between the products, so the Online version should be the 'master' (especially if you share it with others).
All the best – and stay safe
Richard

Hi Richard - is there any other benefit of using the desktop version other than offline working? i.e. all functionality is the same?
I'm having a lot of difficulty getting adobe AIR to work on my macbookpro and if we can work online only then its working ok in Chrome.
Thanks

Hi Jeffrey
Yes: all the main functionality is the same. Furthermore you can access Online from multiple machines – and it provides additional project sharing functionality (see the attached pdf).
If your MacBookPro is running the macOS 10.15 (Catalina) operating system, the cause of your installation issue is that Catalina has 'quarantined' Adobe AIR (with no warning!). So the solution is to unquarantine AIR: full step-by-step instructions for doing this are on our Known Issues page under 'Issues with Adobe AIR under macOS Catalina'.
Your Desktop license allows you to install and activate the software on one machine at a time: when you activate it on a new machine, it will deactivate the previous installation. So if you want to use it on different machines you will need to reactivate it each time you switch (as well as transferring your Desktop projects between machines).
If you would like us to change your Desktop license to an Online Unlimited yearly subscription we would be happy to do so (and we will waive the $6 difference in price) – just let us know if you would like to do this.
Cheers!
Richard
