Resetting the Registry in Legacy (pre-2022) Goalscape Online, Enterprise and Desktop apps
Where there is an existing version of Goalscape Online, Goalscape Enterprise or Goalscape Desktop) installed, it will have its own Registry information on the hard drive. Changes to the Registry (or, in a LAN environment, its location or access) may affect how the app operates, or the installation or activation of new downloads. The fix is to reset the Registry for a fully 'clean' installation.
Please note that changing the Registry requires Admin access to your computer's Operating System. Even if you have Admin access, the directories may also be Hidden. To access all the relevant directories:
Windows
To View the AppData folder (Windows 7+) or Application Data folder (Windows XP) in your account:
-
In the file manager select your [user_ID] folder, click View > Options > Change folder and search options
-
In the popup select the View tab
-
Under Files and folders, check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives'.
